APA Style Guide - 7th edition

A guide to APA style

Where is your article?

Journal article with a DOI:

  • DOI = digital object identifier
  • Use only the format https://doi.org/xxx
    • If the DOI begins with other prefixes such as http://dx.doi.org/ or doi or DOI, change the prefix to https://doi.org/.
  • Always include the DOI if there is one, even if you used the print version.
  • The date for a journal article is usually just the year.
Author, A. A. (Date). Title of article: Subtitle. Journal Title, vol(no)pp–pp. https://doi.org/xxxx
