Use the E-mail or the Cite options from the Tools (right side of screen). Select APA style, then copy, paste and EDIT the citation.

CAUTION! Known formatting problems with APA citations:

• if citation is shaded when you paste it into your word processor, select the Merge Formatting Paste option.
• Check capitalization
  • Title of the article: Capitalize first word, first word of a subtitle and proper nouns within the title.
  • Title of Journal: Capitalize all major words. Un-capitalize minor words
• total number of pages is incorrectly included (delete the "4p")
• format for hanging indent and double-spaced

Every work cited in a paper has two parts:  an in-text citation and a corresponding reference.

• The in-text citation leads the reader to the full citation in the References list so that the reader can identify and retrieve the work.
• In-text citations always include author and date and sometimes include page numbers (see specifics in APA Style Guide).
• In-text citations contain author's last names, but not initials.
