Commodore Conversations 2020

Session Description:

In this session attendees will learn how our Police Academy, Campus Security, and Code of Conduct Office support the safety and security of our campus community while working to maintain a healthy balance between safety and creating a welcoming environment that protects the dignity of our students and visitors. Panelist Ken Collins, Director of Campus Security will speak to the concept of community relations and policing. Commander Thomas of LCCC’s Police Academy will provide an overview of the program, screening of cadets, and their training especially as it relates to the unique nature of their training environment. Panelist will also speak to Code of Conduct’s role as it pertains to the safety of the campus community and focus on Restorative Justice.
