Faculty members may submit books, articles, videos, CD-ROMs, DVDs, or library owned-items for Reserve.
An LCCC Library Reserve Request Form is available for you to complete prior to bringing your reserve items to the Library.
The LCCC Library adheres to the Reproduction of Copyrighted Works by Educators and Librarians (United States Copyright Office) with Respect to Books and Periodicals, specifically Multiple Copies for Classroom Use.
Course reserves are permissible when:

The item meets the fair use test (Fair Use Worksheet)

The item does not carry a copyright

The item is in the public domain or

Your own materials are submitted for reserves
Course reserves are not permissible when:
Materials cannot be accepted when:

The item is a consumable (workbooks, coursepack)

The item is denied permission by the copyright owner

The item is an OhioLINK or InterLibrary loan book

The item exhibits fair use abuse
How to Submit Course Reserve Materials

Complete the Reserve Request Form (available below)

Submit the completed form with your materials to the Circulation Desk.

Items should be identified in the same manner as on the course syllabus. Students should know specifically what to ask for.
