Go to File -> Save to save your presentation - do this every so often so you don't lose any work
Design
Go to the Design tab
Choose any of the Themes and their Variants to apply colorful style across your whole presentation
You can change this at any point during the process of creating your presentation
New Slides and Slide Layout
Your presentation will start with a title slide already created
From the Home tab, select the New Slide dropdown to add a new slide with the layout you select
You can also select Layout to change the layout of the slide you are currently on
Note that different Themes may offer additional layouts
Insert Content
Each slide layout will have different boxes ready to click into to add text and/or images - use these boxes as a starting place or delete them and add your own
From the Insert tab you can also add in your own text boxes if you need more
From the Insert tab, you can also add additional pictures that are saved on your computer
If you have an image copied from a webpage, you can also paste it onto the slide to add it
When adding images, don't forget to add a textbox below the image to cite them!
Presenting Your Slides
When you are reading to present (or practice presenting), go to the Slide Show tab
Click From Beginning to display your slides in full-screen mode starting with your first slide
You can click the slide or use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move to the next slide
